Samantha Cyprian, founder of Soul Movement LLC and Executive Director of Soul Movement Creative Arts Space, Inc. is a native of West Palm Beach, Fl. She began her dance training at The Academy of Ballet Florida under the Artistic Direction of Marie Hale. While in the Academy, she worked closely with Ballet Florida’s professional company where she was provided the opportunity to take classes and perform alongside them. Samantha attended dance programs at North Carolina School of the Arts and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

After graduating from Dreyfoos School of the Art she obtained her B.S. in Psychology from Southern University and A&M College and her M.S. and Ed.S. in School Psychology from Florida A & M University. Samantha obtained her Lester Horton Pedagogy certification under the supervision of Ana Marie Forsythe, Chair of the Horton department at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

Dance shaped Samantha as a person. It enhanced her creativity, taught her discipline, and enlightened her worldview. More importantly, dance created a safe space for her to express herself at a level that words could not. Her love of dance and thankfulness for the role it played in her life has driven her toward her passion, giving children in her community the gift of dance. Soul Movement, along with Soul Movement’s performance company, Soul Stage Dance Ensemble is the manifestation of this goal.
